Syllabus - "Anatomy of a Green Home" (Oregon)


This course, presented by Earth Advantage, will provide you with a complete understanding of what goes into the 5 pillars of any green home -- energy efficiency, water conservation, healthy indoor air quality, responsible material use, and land stewardship – and will help you articulate the benefits of buying or upgrading to a “green home” to your clients.

Course Topics

This course will help real estate professionals to:

  • Gain expertise on the current market forces driving green home building

  • Bolster your toolkit of recommended green programs and resources that are available to help homeowners and builders achieve their goals

  • Learn about the latest and greatest green home features

  • Effectively market green homes and yourself as a green agent

  • Understand how to leverage financing and appraisals for your clients best interests

Course Content

This online course is approximately two hours long. It consists of 3-5 minute video presentations divided into 12 sections. Short quiz questions and activities may appear between video sections to help you remember the content covered in the videos. A course completion certificate for Oregon CE credit will be issued after completing the course.

Although this course is largely self-guided, you may contact your instructor if you have questions or concerns about the course content.

Issuance of Credit

At the end of this course, you will receive a link to download a legal completion certificate. This certificate can be printed on your personal printer. If you do not have a printer, you may contact OnlineEd to have a copy faxed or mailed. Credit will not be issued for incomplete or partially completed courses.

Technology Requirements

This course is compatible with all major web browsers and operating systems. This includes Internet Explorer 8+ and current versions of Chrome, Safari, Opera, and Firefox. Current Android and iOS mobile devices are supported.

Course Access

Access to this course is allowed for 365 days, and up to 180 days after completion, whichever is greater. The course will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, unless there is scheduled system maintenance. If this course is not completed within the given amount of time, a reinstatement fee may be charged.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

No refunds are available for this course. Cancellation requires no notification and students may discontinue the course at any time.

Rebates
