This course is a recorded audio of the Oregon Real Estate Forms (OREF) Principal Broker Basics webinar. This course is divided into four parts:

  • Part 1 covers appropriate levels of communication that a principal broker should be aware of, whether communicating with brokers or other principal brokers. It is important to maintain an appropriate level of communication to avoid confusion during a real estate transaction.
  • Part 2 covers common misunderstandings principal brokers might have about their responsibilities.
  • Part 3 will cover disclosures, document review, contingencies, and deadlines.
  • Part 4 is a review of the NAR Code of Ethics and Portland Metropolitan Association of REALTORS best practices.

Course Completion

This 1-hour course is made of a series of online audio segments. Each audio must be listened to from beginning to end to unlock the next audio track. There is no final exam at the end of the course. An Oregon real estate continuing education certificate of completion will be downloadable after all media have been reviewed and the required time is spent in the course. All Oregon continuing education courses must be time-monitored.
