Nevada Advertising Regulations [Mandatory]

The goal of this course is to make you aware of various advertising regulations that directly impact your real estate business. Knowing what to do and not do can prevent unwanted legal trouble and misunderstandings. In this course we'll cover 

1. Legal Fundamentals: This module will lay the groundwork to be able to discuss specific advertising regulations in the next module. We will cover where state and federal laws originate and the general concepts of unfair business practices.
2. Specific Advertising Regulations: We'll cover the dangers of false advertisements, liability exemptions for those who publish radio broadcast and television advertisements, what legally is an advertisement in Nevada, and how to properly handle solicitations in print or email format.
3. Real Estate Advertising: This chapter will discuss issues specifically related to real estate advertising and representation. Let's review the criteria the Commissioner considers when determining whether an advertisement is false or misleading, the disciplinary actions a licensee can face for untruthful advertisements, the rules relating to agency disclosure and brokerage signs.

Course Materials:

This course is composed of approximately 3 hours of reading material. The course is divided into segments. Review quizzes are inserted between reading material.

At the end of the course is a 25 question multiple-choice final exam. Students will have to receive a score of 75% or higher on the final exam to pass the course.

The Real Estate Division requires that the final examination is not downloadable or printable. The student will be notified of the number of questions answered correctly after final examination has been completed. The student will not be given the questions that were answered incorrectly.
