This is a non-credit course. Not for license renewals.
As you likely know, there is change happening in residential real estate right now concerning the way brokers are compensated. One of the reasons for the impact on the real estate industry is recent legal developments, both active litigation and past and potential regulatory action. Because litigation takes a long time from inception to final conclusions, including the potential for years of appeals, it is unclear exactly how, or whether, the court cases involving real estate commissions will conclusively change the industry.
This course is meant to distinguish fact from rumor, clarify what practices are legally permissible even if not common practice, and identify how the current environment, including legal uncertainty and delay, are prompting changes affecting real estate licensees right now. More specifically, this course is about how to address buyer agent representation agreements in your daily real estate practice.
This course will provide a few different means of getting these representation agreements signed by your buyer, depending on the market you work in and on your level of comfort with negotiating. Even if you are uncomfortable discussing these agreements with clients, this course will provide an easy, straightforward method of doing so.
This course will remain available to students for 365 days after enrollment.
