Georgia Licensing Law

Georgia real estate licensees are required to take a 3-hour course covering Georgia real estate law every renewal period. This course covers the license law topics that are to refresh a licensee's knowledge about the regulations they are expected to comply with when practicing real estate in this state.

5. Agency Relationships

Learning Objectives

At the end of the course, you should be able to:

• recognize real estate law licensee conduct that might result in license suspension, revocation, or denial.

• describe the document handling procedures that must be complied with

• outline the steps for transferring a license to a new real estate firm.

• explain the rules regarding appropriate advertising including how not to advertise, what needs to be included on all advertisements, and various phrases that can be used when advertising.

• summarize the agency relationships permitted in Georgia and the duties owed to each party in any agency relationship.

Course Materials and Final Examination

This course is composed of 3 hours of reading material that is divided into five segments. Review quizzes are at the end of each segment. A 20-question final examination is presented at the end of the course. Passing the final exam with a score of 75% or greater will be required before a course completion certificate can be issued.
